Enid Massey was born in Shimla, India on April 25, 1951. She accepted eternal salvation from Jesus Christ at an early age and became a God-fearing woman and filling her heart with the Lord’s Love. Enid was the youngest of five sisters, she also had a younger brother. In 1983, she became a devoted wife to Noble Massey and shortly after was blessed to start her family adding two children to this world. She developed a passion for education and became a School District Superintendent in her native community. An early retirement allowed her to move to the United States in 2003. Mrs. Massey was a faithful member of Crossway Baptist Church. Cooking, reading, and entertaining her family were the highlights of enjoying her life here on Earth. At the age of 70, after a courageous fight with Alzheimer’s, she passed away surrounded by her close loving family.
Enid is preceded in death by her parents, Victor Valentine Morley and Doris Flora Morley; sister Maureen; and brother Jonathan.
She is survived by her loving husband, Noble Massey; son, Naveen Massey (Katara); daughter, Sheba Massey; sisters, Charlotte, Joan, and Stella, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover, AL. The Life Celebration will begin in the Chapel at 3:00 PM.
