Serriss Serenity Ishiqua Prude, 8 years old, gained her angel wings on Thursday, September 10th at 9am after a car crash early in the morning. Her brother, Emrhye Emmanuel Prude, 11 years old, not one to be left behind, followed her to heaven shortly after on Saturday, September 12th at 3:00pm from injuries sustained in the crash.
Serriss was pure light and joy to which no human was immune. She knew no strangers and made friends with anyone who was lucky enough to walk in her light. Her confidence and charm, her love and joy, have changed the world, even in such a short time. She will be remembered as every bit of the royal princess she was, and her memory will live on in our hearts forever.
Emrhye was brilliant and hilarious. He could be found, on any given day, wild haired and shirtless, taking pictures and sharpening his coding skills. He wanted to build video games and bring joy to the world, and anyone who met him knew that he would. He will be remembered as a bright and loving boy, and his memory will live on in our hearts forever.
Serriss and Emrhye are survived by their elder brother, Zyeshawn Christopher Prude, their mother Natashah Prude, and their father Emannuel Prude. They are loved and remembered by thousands of others.
May their memory inspire us to be confident, to be smart, to love without boundaries, and to change the world with a smile on our lips and a dance on our hips.
Funeral services will be held at The Church of The Highlands, Riverchase Campus at 11:30am on Saturday, September 19th. Burial services afterwards will be open to family only. Please send flowers and condolences to The Church of the Highlands. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Judes for Serriss who loved caring for children or the STEM coding program at Rocky Ridge Elementary for Emrhye who would want other bright kids to have the opportunity he did.
