Emily Oakley

Emily Oakley went to be with the Lord on February 25,2024 at the age of 86 years old. She was a beautiful example of a Godly wife, mother and Nana. Her greatest pleasure in life were her grandchildren. She was a good friend to everyone she met, always encouraging them and putting others first.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bobby H. Oakley and her parents, Clyde and Ludie Owen. She is survived by her daughters, Shelia Brate (Joe) and Janet Buckelew (Ronald) and her grandchildren, Alan Buckelew, David Buckelew, and Alyse Gilliam (Jonathan).

While our family grieves at this tremendous loss, we also rejoice in knowing she has been reunited with the love of her life, her husband Bobby. A Celebration of life will be held March 5, 2024, at the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Visitation from 1:00pm - 2:00 pm. Funeral will begin at 2:00pm.
