Elizabeth Williams

age 96, fell asleep in death just before dawn on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, the last of James and Elizabeth Cain’s 25 children. Born on March 1, 1913, in Wylam, Elizabeth moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, at the age of 16. It was here that she became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and raised her 3 children, James (Buddy), Deborah, and Charles Henry. She returned to Alabama in 1990 to help her daughter. She is survived by her daughter, a nephew, 7 grandchildren, a host of greats and great-greats, and millions of spiritual brothers and sisters. Elizabeth will be remembered for her spunk, generosity, love, and dancing. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 23, 2010, from 11 AM-1 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Willie Haire, Jr. and Rev. Coleman Dudley officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
