Elizabeth Turner

Mrs. Elizabeth Turner, from Vestavia Hills, was born September 3, 1927, in Elberton, GA. She died July 15, 2011, in Asheville, NC. She was a graduate of the University of Alabama and retired from Alabama Power Co. She was a sweet quiet soul and loving mother. She was preceded in death, by her husband, William R. Turner. She is survived by her daughters; Sandra (Scott Rowland) of Boston, MA and Carol of Asheville, NC; son, David (Susan) of Atlanta, GA; brother, Thomas Ezra Moore (Pat) of Hanceville, AL: grandchildren, Jason, of Philadelphia, PA and Emily of Raleigh, NC. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 18, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM. Reverend Gary Furr officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to Vestavia Hills Baptist Church.
