Elizabeth Ann McClung McBrayer, born in Fort Lee, Virginia and grew up in Birmingham, Alabama passed away September 14, 2024. She is survived by her loving daughters Amy Zeman (Michael) and Julie McBrayer, granddaughters Ella, Grace and Kaylie Zeman, loving sister Peggy Palmer (Troy, Erin, Colton and Olivia Studyvin and Meagan Studyvin), loving brother Edward McClung, father Floyd McClung, sister Susan Hurst, brothers Tommy and Mitch McClung, sisters-in-love Susie Bowling (Philip Sr, Philip jr, Finn and Peter) and Cindy Hulsey (Rusty, Tiffany, Maggie and Trace Enfinger, Lyza and Jeremy Redden, Samuel and Cooper Specht). She was preceded in death by her mother Jean Zicarelli McClung, Stanley McBrayer, and in-laws James and Elizabeth McBrayer. Elizabeth graduated from West End High School and retired from Social Security after 32 years. After a long, hard battle with cancer, she passed away with family by her side and knowing how much she was loved and cherished by everyone who knew her. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 21, 2024 beginning at 11am followed with a 12pm chapel service at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover, Alabama. Elizabeth wanted to express her gratitude to all the doctors and staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She requests any donations be made to the hospital's thoracic or brain cancer departments.
