Eleanor Peveler

Mrs. Eleanor Gay Peveler, of Hoover, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at the age of 93. She was a former member of Central Park Baptist Church, where she served as a teacher, and a member of the choir and W.M.U. She was an active member of Hunter Street Baptist Church and served in the W.M.U. and Naomi Class. She is survived by a son, Clay Peveler and wife, Linda; 2 granddaughters, Kristen and Brittany Peveler; and a sister, Judy Dishman (George). The family will receive friends on Friday, September 3, 2010, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Buddy Gray officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to The Big Oak Ranch or Hunter Street Baptist Church Building Fund.
