Elaine Scott

of Bessemer, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2010, at the age of 77. She was a long time member of Loveless Park Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Charles B. Scott and a son, Charles LeRoy Scott. She is survived by a son, Kelly Scott (Katy) of Cottageville, SC; two granddaughters, Jonie Scott of Charleston, SC and Kristy Joy Scott of Cottageville, SC; a brother, Carl Bell of Bessember; three step-grandsons; a step-great-granddaughter; four step-great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 25, 2010, from 10-11 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Joel Frederick officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson-Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Hannah Home or King's Ranch, P.O. Box 162, Chelsea, AL 35043.
