of Hoover, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at the age of 85. She was born February 6, 1921 and was a lifetime member of Briarwood Presbyterian Church. She was a selfless, caring and devoted wife to her husband of 65 years, whom she met when she was 12 and and he was 14 years old. They were married on February 2, 1941 after dating for 8 years. Mrs. Faulkner was a member of her husband's Army unit, the 35th Division. She and her husband travelled the world after his retirement in 1982. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was predeceased in death by a daughter, Linda Lee Faulkner Miller, who was handicapped due to polio beginning at 6 months old until she passed away at the age of 41. Mrs. Faulkner was admired and loved very much by her family - a devoted gift from God. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth L. Faulkner; daughter Patricia Lynn Faulkner Harwell (Robert); 4 grandchildren, Robert Eugene Harwell, Jr. (Amy), Heather Lynn Harwell Suskin (Gregory), Kevin Lee Harwell (Robin) and Holli Jane Harwell Thomason (Samson); 7 great grandchildren: Heather's children, Grant Alan, Haley Lynn and Rachel Smith Suskin; Robert's children, Jonathan Michael and Emma Katherine Harwell; Kevin's children, Madeline Irina and Elizabeth Grace Harwell. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 16, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Ken Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
