Edwyn Johnson,Jr.

age, 81, of Birmingham, passed away August 13, 2006. Formerly a native of Mississippi, Mr. Johnson was an Army veteran of WWII and a member of Lakeside Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. Edd was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Joanne Johnson. He is survived by 2 sons, Edd Johnson, III (Debbie) and Benny Johnson (Deborah); 3 granddaughters, Angie, Jennifer, and Lindsay Johnson; a sister, Patsy Pierce of Cincinnatti, OH and other loving family in Amory, MS. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 3:00, Monday, August 14, 2006 at the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home on Hwy 150 in Hoover. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 in the funeral home chapel, Dr. Mike McLemore and Rev. Ken Maynerd officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. The family wishes to express a special thanks to the entire staff at Lakeview Estates and his special friends.
