Edwin Langston

of Hoover, passed away Monday, February 21, 2005, at the age of 75. Mr. Langston was a member of Hunter Street Baptist Church. He joined the USAF in 1948 and retired after 24 years of service. He served with distinction, and his last 7 years was with the 9th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing with the SR-71 Blackbird Program at Beale AFB, CA. He completed his career with the Mississippi State Agriculture Department. Mr. Langston was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Alene Langston, of Hoover; a son, Brad Langston (Traci) of Hoover; 2 daughters, Carol Dill (Steve), of Alta Loma, CA and Judy McCoy (Rick), of Pelham; 7 grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Mildred Tyrone and Joyce Hoover, both of Prentiss, MS. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 22, 2005 from 6 to 8 p.m., at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover, Alabama. Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at 1:00 p.m., in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Chris Sullivan officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
