Edward Skinner, Jr

of Hoover, passed away on March 12, 2006 at the age of 59. He was a Vietnam Veteran and was employed at BellSouth for 27 years. Mr. Skinner was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and was an avid LSU Fighting Tigers fan. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Gwen Denoux Skinner; a step-mother; Theresa Skinner; a sister, Linda Skinner Mathas; an aunt, Carolyn Smith Rieth; an uncle, Almond J. Smith. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 15, 2006, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Funeral services will be at the church on Thursday, March 16, 2006, with Father Henry McDade officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Shelby County Humane Society or the Prince of Peace Catholic Church Building Fund. Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home officiating.
