Edward Mauter

Edward (Eddie) Mauter, of Vestavia, Alabama, sadly passed away on November 22, 2022 at the age of 100. This was a huge milestone he always hoped to achieve—and he did! We celebrated his 100th Birthday at home surrounded by close family and friends who love him dearly! He is survived and cherished by his four adoring sons and their families: Fred Mauter (Linda), and his son Michael (Melinda), and great granddaughter Kinsley; William Mauter (Carolyn) and their daughters, Rebecca (William), Sarah, and great granddaughter, Holly; Robert Mauter (Donna), and Tee Mauter (Chasity); Jacob Mauter (Tammie); and Chris Lewis, grandson. He is also survived by his stepdaughters, Donna Johnson (Robert), and her daughter, Kaitlyn, and Debbie Richardson; and his stepson, Rick Richardson (Jean), and their daughters, Chelsea and Jillian.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob T. and Theresa Mauter; his first wife, Margaret, and their daughter, Donna Marie; his second wife, Patricia (Pat); and his two brothers, Johnny and Joe Mauter. Eddie was a Project Manager and Estimator for over 30 years. He was a loving father who treasured his family and friends. He loved conversation and never met a stranger. He was a master craftsman of woodworking. He will most be remembered for his infinite wisdom, great advice, and wonderful smile!
Visitation will be at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home on 2701 John Hawkins Parkway, Hoover, AL from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church on 2061 Patton Chapel Rd., Hoover, AL at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 1, 2022. Interment and Gathering at the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home on 2701 John Hawkins Parkway, Hoover, AL following the Funeral Mass.
