Edna Pinkerton

PINKERTON, EDNA LOUISE, of Hoover, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at the age of 94. She was a member of Green Valley Baptist Church, and was a loving and devoted mother who will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gail Pinkerton Peden; and two sisters, Mildred McCulley of Rockwood, TN and Mary Rogan of Selma, AL. She is survived by a son, David Pinkerton of Hoover; a daughter, Kathy Scalisi (Bernard) of Hoover; five grandchildren, Laura and Elizabeth Scalisi, Lisa Neukam (Richard), Renee Epperson, and Lance Peden (Suzanne); five great grandchildren; and son-in-law, Tommy Peden of Hoover. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 25, 2009, from 10:00-11:00 AM at Green Valley Baptist Church on Patton Chapel Road in Hoover. Funeral service will follow in the church at 11:00 AM, Pastor Marion Jones officiating. The family requests donations be made to the audio books departments at the Vestavia Hills and Hoover libraries.
