Dwayne Alan Wimberly

Dwayne Alan Wimberly, age 60, of Hoover, Alabama entered his heavenly rest on November 8, 2018.  He was active in amateur radio with the call sign, WB4KUZ and held memberships in the Birmingham Amateur Radio Club and the American Radio Relay League.  Alan graduated from Berney Points School and Auburn University.  He loved the church, and enjoyed operating his radios and watching Auburn football.

His father, John D. Wimberly, Sr., preceded him in death. He is survived by his mother, Mary E. Wimberly; two brothers, Gary Wimberly and Dean Wimberly (Becky); and 2 nephews, Austin (Maris) and Mark.

The family will receive friends from 10-11, Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover.  Funeral will follow at 11 AM in the chapel.  Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Shades Crest Baptist Church Building Fund.
