Dutton Bonnell, Jr

Dutton Aaron Bonnell, Jr., went home to live with his heavenly Father on October 22, 2014. He was a devoted husband and father who taught his children to love God first, and always be responsive to the needs of others. He served his Lord as a Southern Baptist Missionary to Africa from 1961-1988. He served his country in the United States Navy and fought in World War II.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Marilyn, and his beloved son, Craig.
He is survived by a daughter, Cathy Bonnell Huneycutt and a daughter-in-law, Rita England Bonnell.
Mr. Bonnell loved all the staff at The Oaks on Parkwood. He enjoyed giving away Snickers candy bars to caregivers and teaching them African songs. The family will never forget the excellent, compassionate care.
Graveside service will be on Monday, October 27, 2014, at 11 AM at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering in your local Southern Baptist Church.
