Dr. Magdi Shoukri Tadros, of Hoover, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017, at age 82. Born in Cairo, Egypt, he was one of six children. He graduated from the American University in Cairo, with a degree in Arts. He then came to Alabama and attended Walden State University and earned his PhD in psychology. He taught at Wallace State College as a professor of psychology and foreign languages from 1973-2003. Dr. Tadros became a United States citizen in 1977 and has been in Alabama for 43 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Shoukri Tadros and Kokoab Girgis.
Dr. Tadros is survived by his wife, Leila Tadros, daughter, Sylvia Eldridge and her husband, Zeke; grandson, Dax Joseph Eldridge; his brothers, Dr. Mokhtar Tadros and Momtaz Tadros; and sister, Mohga Zaki.
A service will be held in honor of Dr. Tadros, Saturday, March 25, 2017, at 11 AM at St. John Kame Coptic Orthodox Church, 2529 Central Ave. S., Birmingham, AL 35209.
