Douglas Goggins

of Vestavia, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2007, at the age of 74. He was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church. Mr. Goggins was retired from Clarklift of Alabama and was an avid sports fan. He was a loving father and grandfather who was respected and admired by all. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Doris Goggins. Mr. Goggins is survived by a son, Steven D. Goggins of Vestavia; a daughter, Debra G. Catlin of Birmingham; two grandchildren, Brian and Ben Catlin; a brother, Chester R. Goggins (Louise) of Woodstock; and a sister, Erma Cleckley of Orlando, FL. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 6, 2007, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, with a funeral service following at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mike McLemore officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
