Dorothy Russell

Mrs. Dorothy M. Russell, of Hoover, AL, passed away Monday, April 27, 2015, at the age of 86. She was a member of Shades Mountain Church of Christ and was a loving and perfect mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James E. Russell and a son Benny Wayne Russell.
She is survived by three daughters; Charlie Jaffe (Alan), Cindy Hamilton, and Rhonda Hardwick (Bill), and three grandchildren; Will, Lily and Matthew Hardwick.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 30, 2015, from 11-12 at Liberty Crossings United Methodist Church. Funeral service will follow at 12 PM at the church with Pastor Wade Griffith officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Alzheimer's of Central Alabama, www.alzca.org.
