Dorothy Johnson

Dorothy was born in Carbon Hill, Alabama where she lived for many years. She worked for the Selective Service and the Walker County Courthouse. Her passion and calling were working with children in the nursery and preschool at Shades Mountain Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Sam W. Johnson (Cecilia) and a daughter, Annette Osburn (Kurt); 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Pat Buckner officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Shades Mountain Baptist Church Preschool Ministry, 2017 Columbiana Rd., Vestavia, AL 35216.
