Dorothy Ford

January 11, 1926 — February 28, 2017

Dorothy Lindsey Ford, of Hoover, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at the age of 91. She was born in Winston County, Mississippi on January 11, 1926, to Mafie Fant Lindsey and Marcus Augustus Lindsey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Burton and George Lindsey; her sister, Thelma Lindsey Vickers; and her beloved husband of 64 years, Robert Weldon Ford.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail Ford Garner (Jim); sons, Robert Ford II and Scott Ford (Alana); 5 grandchildren, Jeff Garner (Amy), Kim Garner, Nick Ford, Charlie Ford, and Katie Ford; and 1 great grandson, Alex Garner.

The family will receive friends from 1-2, Friday, March 3, 2017, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover. Funeral will follow in the chapel at 2 PM. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
