Doris Helen Hogan

Doris Helen Hill Hogan, of Little Rock, AR, formerly of Hoover, AL, and Atlanta, GA, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2019, at the age of 89. Our beloved Doris, Mom, and Mimi, she was a faithful Christian whose love for Christ shone through in the way she loved us and countless others. She had a gift for making each person feel special, showing us how special she was. Caring, creative, competitive, dedicated, fun, funny, involved, talented, and so many more descriptors can be used that mean something personal and special to each of us. A child of God, her faith in Him was her anchor and her victory. She will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Joseph Guy Hogan, Sr.; a daughter, Judith Diane Hogan; a son, Larry Joe Hogan; and grandsons, Justin Guy Hogan and Nicholas Scott Hogan.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Hogan McCrady (Joe); son, Joseph Guy Hogan, Jr. (Kathy); daughter-in-law, Patricia Coia Hogan Cox (Ken); grandchildren, Melynda Fannin Vallance (Tom), Michelle Fannin Garcia (Miguel), Jason Kristopher Hogan (Bailey), Joseph Edward McCrady, IV, Christin Rebecca McCrady, Patrick Lawrence Hogan, Joseph Guy Hogan, III and Rebekah Jo Hogan; great-grandchildren, Jessica Stewart (Jeb), Caroline Vallance, Gabriel Moore, Branson Hogan, and McKayla Hogan; brothers, Walter Hill (Elaine), Stanley Hill (Beverly); and sister, Linda McKinley.

A graveside service will be held at Highland Memorial Gardens in Bessemer, AL on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 11 a.m. with Dewayne Spivey officiating.
