Doris White

of Bessemer, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2009, at the age of 85. She was born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, PA and traveled extensively throughout her life. She was a loving mother and grandmother who was loved by all who met her. Mrs. White was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She is survived by two sons, Greg White (Tammy) of Orlando, FL and Dennis White of Sarasota, FL; two daughters, Pamela White of Pelham and Maureen McFillin of Hoover; and four grandchildren, Gregory and Sarah White and Michael and Meredith McFillin. A funeral mass will be on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father Henry McDaid officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Lung Association or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
