Doris Schulz

Mrs. Doris A. Schulz, of Chelsea, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the age of 82. She was born in Erie, MI and attended high school and college at St. Johns College, Winfield, KS. Doris worked at BellSouth for over 30 years. She was a charter member of The Lutheran Church of Vestavia Hills for over 50 years. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ed Schulz; 2 daughters, Sharon Smith (Paul) and Cindy Valasek (Tony); a son, John Schulz (Jennifer); 6 grandchildren, Anna Tallo (Aaron), Katie Smith, Will & Drew Valasek and Jake & Lanie Schulz. A memorial service will be on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 11:00 AM at The Lutheran Church of Vestavia Hills with Pastor Michael Ahlemeyer officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Project Hope Missions, c/o The Lutheran Church of Vestavia Hills.
