Doris Lagle

Doris Virginia Dodson Lagle, 88, of Bessemer, passed away at her Parkwood home on March 24, 2016. Doris was a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother who cared for and loved her family and friends. She enjoyed antiquing, camping, and cooking for her family and friends. Doris was a member of the Parkwood Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Aldon Joseph Lagle, and parents Walter Marn and Mary Mae Smith Dodson. Doris was the last surviving sibling of the W.M. Dodson family. She is survived by her daughters Kaye Lagle White, Lisa Lagle, and grandson Dr. Jody White.

The visitation will be Tuesday, March 29 from 11:00 to 1:00 at the Parkwood Church of God with the funeral service beginning at 1:00. Burial will follow at Valhalla Cemetery. Rev Brian Gilpin and nephew Rev Greg Hand will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Parkwood Church of God.
