Doris Howell

Mrs. Doris Thorne Howell, of Birmingham, formerly of Hayleyville, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ewing Wood Howell and her parents, Willam and Emma Thorne. She was a member of Roebuck Church of Christ. She is survived by her son, Ewing Thorne Howell; two daughters, Jane Hulsey (William) and Nancy Gravois (Mike); four grandchildren, Angela and Laura Hulsey, Katie Cole-Tyson (Philip) and John Hawley (Lindsay); and two great grandchildren, Jay Hawley and John Porter Cole-Tyson. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 10 to 11:30 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 2 PM at Winston Memorial Gardens, Haleyville, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to your favorite charity.
