Doris Burnett

Mrs. Doris Burnett, age 86, formerly of Lipscomb and Hueytown left this life on earth to join her family in heaven on Thursday, January 27, 2011. Doris was a loving wife and mother of five children. She was fully dedicated to her entire family. This was her mission in life to serve her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, John A. Burnett, her son, Jeffery Todd Burnett and a sister Lois Thompson. She is survived by her children, Bobbie Burnett Hill (Wayne), Royce A. Burnett, Patricia Garner (Jimmy) and John Wayne Burnett; grandchildren, Todd Hill, Rodney Hill, Tracey Cole, Bubba Burnett, Scott Garner, Richelle Garner Hughes, Shaun Burnett and Jake Burnett; 12 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind special nieces and nephews. She loved each and every family member with all her heart. The family wants to thank each person who has had a part in our mothers long term care, especially Ashton Gables management and wonderful staff. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Hueytown in her memory. Graveside services will be on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 2pm at the Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
