Donn Hill

, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2008 at the age of 84. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Shannon. He served in Germany as a US Army Chaplin. Mr. Hill graduated from Samford University and attended Seminary in Louisville, KY. He retired as a Chaplin for the Salvation Army. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Julia Marion Hill. He is survived by two sons, Derick Hill (Christine) and Mark Hill; a daughter, Jancy Hill; two grandsons, Derick Hill, Jr. (Tara) and Andrew Hill (Mary); one great grandson, Jacob Hill; a sister, Doris Tessier; four nephews and a niece. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 from 5-7pm at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Highway 150, Hoover. Graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 1pm. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
