of Birmingham, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2007, at the age of 58. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in the Big Red One Division during the Vietnam War. Mr. Hayslett was employed by B E & K Engineering and Construction as a HR Staffing Director. He had also worked for Rust International for over 20 years. He loved to sing, loved poetry and loved a good joke. He loved his family and adored his grandchildren and was kind, selfless and giving. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Kim Lien Hayslett; two sons, Sean Hayslett (Jean Ann) and Anthony Hayslett, both of Birmingham; two grandchildren, Sabrina and Joshua; two brothers, Barry Hayslett (Cindy) of Newport News, VA and Tom Hayslett (Janice) of Mobile; and a sister, Lee Ann Dusewicz-Kirkley (Beecher) of Gloucester, VA. There will be a wake on Thursday, November 1, 2007, from 6-8 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 2, 2007, at 10 AM at Saint Barnabas Catholic Church, with Father Eugene O'Connor and Father Ray Dunmyer officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Saint Barnabas Catholic Church. Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home directing.
