It is with profound sadness that the family of Debra Friedman Buttram announce her devastating and shocking passing on August 4, 2021 at the age of 62. She is survived by her husband Bobby Buttram, daughter Brittany Anderson(Jeremiah Rastegar) and granddaughter Aurora Rastegar. brother Mark Alan Friedman, stepdaughters Terri Platt, Sherri Hilley, and Melanie Williams, and cousins Marilyn and Malcolm Sokol, Helene Goldberg, Judy Goldberg, and Shelly Zavon.
To know Debbi is to know that she loved. She loved her girls more than anything in this world. They have a three-peas-in-a-pod, the-apple-doesn’t-fall-too-far-from-the-tree kind of relationship. The birth of her granddaughter in 2018 brought Debbi a whole new lease on life; their bond was strong and unique.
Debbi also fiercely loved her family and friends. She would reminisce over her memories any time they crossed her mind. She had a way of making each and every one of us feel special and loved. She was thoughtful, kind, loving, smart, creative, and fun. She believed life was too short to be hung up on an argument or go go to bed angry. She believed that humor, laughter, and music were the best medicine.
And in this moment, as you remember her, she wouldn’t want you to be sad. She’d want you to take a toke, listen to some Zeppelin, and think of a humorous memory of the two of you and laugh. Because she loves to laugh about that memory too, with you.
