David Powers

Mr. David Powers, age 51, of Birmingham, AL, passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012. He had been employed for the past 20 years by Tool Smith Company and attended Church of the Highlands. He was a devoted husband, father, son and brother. Also, an avid Auburn and music fan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sheila. He is survived by two sons, Travis and Eric Powers, his Sweet Pea, Theresa Sellars Smith, his parents, Donald and Pat Powers, two brothers, Donald Powers, Jr. (Bobbie) and Steve Powers (Dee), a sister, Cynthia Powers, a niece, Lauren Powers, and in-laws, Harry and Joy Travis. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 4, 2012, from 5-7 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. A service will be Monday, March 5, 2012, at 11 AM at the funeral home with Stacy Reed officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
