David Owens

David R. Owens, age 87, of Hoover, passed away on December 25, 2010. Mr. Owens was retired from his self-owned and operated company, L & O Motors of Birmingham. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Vance Owens. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Vera Owens and a grandson, Christopher Lawrence of Hoover. He was a loving husband and father, Mr. Owens especially cherished his only grandson, Christopher. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from 1 until 2 pm at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home with a Graveside service to follow at 2 pm in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. Rev. Earl Tew will be officiating.
