Randy Hancock

David Randall "Randy" Hancock age 68, passed away on October 6, 2023. He was born on April 24, 1955 to Charles and Dorothy Hancock. Randy graduated from Shades Valley High School in 1973. He attended the University of Montevallo where he studied Pre-Engineering before transferring to Auburn University where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Building Sciences and Technology with honors in 1978.

Randy worked for Brindley Constriction Company in Pulaski, TN from 1978 - 1980. In July 1980, he went to work for Brice Building Company in Birmingham, AL where he became VP of Preconstruction, Chief Estimator, and Senior Project Manager. He went to Doster Construction from July 2000 - February 2003 where he was a Chief Estimator. He retired from Brasfield & Gorrie as a Chief Estimator and Senior Project Manager in 2015 after 12 years.

He is survived by daughters Karin Conlon (John), Olivia Arnold (Ben), son Christopher Hancock, grandchildren Jordan Conlon, David Conlon, Addie Arnold and Luke Arnold, brothers Chuck(Dianne) Hancock and Alan Hancock, numerous family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 12 at 11am at First United Methodist Church Birmingham. Funeral services will follow at 12pm. Burial will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens on Highway 150 in Hoover with Rev. Jonathan Goss officiating. Pallbearers will be Christopher Hancock, John Conlon, Ben Arnold, Jordan Conlon, David Conlon, and Luke Arnold.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Building Fund at First United Methodist Church Birmingham.
