David Doughty

January 30, 1954 — July 10, 2019

Robert “David” Doughty, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly at home on July 10, 2019. He was born January 30, 1954 in Shreveport, Louisiana. David grew up loving the outdoors.. In high school, was a stellar athlete, competing in football, baseball and track. David married his high school sweetheart, Debbie, after graduating from Louisiana State University Shreveport in 1976. David was best known for his deep love of family, Alabama football and most especially his wife, Debbie.

David is predeceased by his in-laws Willie W. Norris and Marion Vickers Norris. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Norris Doughty, brother-in-law Michael W. Norris (Elizabeth); and sister-in-law, Donna Norris Pickett (Ollie).

David is also survived by his daughter Lauren Doughty Poche (Eric) and his two very loved grandchildren Marion Halcyann Poche and Daniel Louis Poche. Survivors also include nephews William Norris, Will Doughty and nieces Elizabeth Norris Weidmann (Martin) and Kelsey Norris Pickett.

Visitation will be held at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home on Monday, July 15th at 1PM with memorial services to follow at 2PM.
