Daniel B. "Dan" Henderson, Jr.

Daniel B. "Dan" Henderson, Jr., of Hoover, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at the age of 79, surrounded by his family.  Most mornings, since his retirement, one could find him having coffee at Jack's in Homewood with a close group of special friends.  Dan was a faithful member of Hunter Street Baptist Church.  Throughout his convalescence, the Henderson home has been filled with a steady stream of caring and close friends and family who drop by to encourage and to reminisce.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rita Henderson; his daughter, Andrea Henderson; his son, Daniel B. Henderson III (Denise); and 2 grandchildren, Ellyson Foret and Foster Henderson.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 - 10:30, Friday, July 20, 2018, at Hunter Street Baptist Church, Hwy 150 in Hoover.  Funeral will follow at 10:30 in the church chapel, Dr. Buddy Gray officiating.  Interment and honors will be at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo.
