Daniel Whetstone

Daniel Davis Whetstone, born October 16, 1928, Titus, AL, resident of Shelby, AL, went to be with his Savior Jesus on May 8, 2015. He was retired from Bruno's and River Ranch, Inc. He was a veteran of the US Army.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Ruth M. Whetstone; father, Willie D. "Bill" Whetstone; and mother, Margaret "Madge" Whetstone.

He is survived by his daughters, Sharon Slovensky (Louis) and Dana Walden; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 11-1, Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover. Funeral will follow at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
