Daniel Harrison

of Birmingham, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2009, at the age of 60. He was Regional Vice President of Liberty National Life Insurance Company. He retired after 33 years of service. Mr. Harrison was a member of Hunter Street Baptist Church. Danny was close to being "the perfect father" in that he was devoted to his wife. He was a viable presence in the lives of his sons; he was a competent provider; he acknowledged his duty as a role model; and he responsibly attended to basic faith matters in and out of home. He loved the Alabama "Crimson Tide". He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Bessie Harrison, and a brother, Wayland Harrison. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Julia Harrison; two sons, Dr. Keith Harrison (Kay) and Kevin Harrison (Selena) both of Hoover; a grandson, Porter Harrison; a brother, Bob Harrison (Shirley) of Decatur, AL; his mother-in-law, Evelyn P. Nichols of Geneva, AL; and a sister-in-law, Jeannette Harrison of Florala, AL. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 5, 2009, from 1-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Dr. Buddy Gray and Rev. Gary Smith officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
