Dale Stempel

Dale H. Stempel, formerly of Enterprise, passed March 23, 2022 at her new home in Montevallo, Alabama.  Dale was born February 18, 1946 to Oscar and Lera Harvey in Pembroke, Georgia. She was the youngest of two brothers and five sisters. She enjoyed life as an Army wife, serving with her husband ontwo tours in Germany and at numerous assignments around the United States.  She taught elementary school for a total of 36 years across Georgia, Kentucky, Texas, Alabama, and the Department of Defense school system in Germany. She taught 24 years in Enterprise School System before retiring in 2008. She and her husband, Conrad F. Stempel, moved to Montevallo last October to be near their son Eric, daughter-in-law Katie, and grandson Max. Dale enjoyed reading and working outdoors. She loved the time she did had with Max improving the backyard of her Montevallo home. She is also survived by two sisters, Gloria Cribbs and Lois Duggar of Pembroke, Georgia; sister-in-law Peggy Campbell and husband Curt of Ottumwa, Iowa; brother-in-law Randall Stempel and wife Marilyn, also of Ottumwa; and, many nieces and nephews all of whom she loved dearly.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover.
