Corrine Smythe

of Maylene, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2007. She was born in Center Star, AL to Clarence Snoddy and Wilma Elizabeth White. Corrine moved to Birmingham in the mid 40's and spent the rest of her life there. She was retired from South Central Bell and was co-owner of Rets Electronics School. She was predeceased in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gene D. Smythe; two brothers, Paul and Jackie Snoddy of Warner Robbins, GA; two sisters, Pat McLoud (Ed) of Leavenworth, KS and Myrtle Dendy of Florence, AL. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 7, 2007 from 10-11 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11 AM with Evangelist Barney Keith officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Odyssey Hospice Care or Shelby County Humane Society.
