Connie Scollin

June 9, 1954 — February 13, 2017

Connie Christopher Scollin, of Hoover, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017, at age 62. She was a member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church. She retired from Children's Hospital after 38 years of service. She attended Auburn University and was a graduate of Samford University School of Nursing. Connie loved people well. She stepped in with others in celebration and joy, but she was also never afraid to walk beside them in pain and heartache. Her assurance in Jesus is what shaped and defined the kind of wife, friend, and co-worker she was. Everyone who knew her will miss her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Ralph and Mildred "Boots" Christopher; and her brother, Dr. Doug Christopher.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Ron Scollin. Also, her brother Ralph (Sally) Christopher of Guin, Alabama, other family members and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 17, 2017, from 9:30-11 AM at Shades Mountain Baptist Church Conference Center. The service will follow at 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Shades Mountain Baptist Church Pre-School Ministry or to The Children's Hospital of Alabama.
