Rev. Claude D. DePrine III, 72, was called home by his Heavenly Father Sunday, 22 July 2018, after a short illness. He was born in Baltimore City, MD, the son of Claude D. DePrine, Jr. and Grace DePrine. He was a 1968 graduate of Covenant College and a 1971 graduate of Westminster Theological Seminary.
He pastored Reformed Presbyterian Church of Bradenton, FL; Christian Reformation Church of Grand Rapids, MI; Orthodox Christian Reformed Church, of Bowmanville, Ontario; and Providence Orthodox Presbyterian Church of Mantua, NJ. He retired after 47 years of ministry in November 2014. Rev. DePrine preached alternate Sundays at Danberry at Inverness Senior Living to mid-2018.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Susan Hansen. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Donna Honeywell DePrine; son Claude D. DePrine IV (Beth); 2 daughters: Rebecca G. Pace (Warren) and Emily S. Blake (Glenn); 6 grandchildren, Daniel, Grace, Ava, Molly, Ellie, and Lucy; and his sister, Carole Gienapp (Rev. Walter).
The family will receive friends 10-11, Thursday, July 26, 2018, at the Briarwood Presbyterian Church chapel. Service will follow at 11:00. Entombment will be at Currie-Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
