Clarence Spidle

Mr. Clarence Bernard Spidle, 88, of Hoover, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2013. He was a graduate of Ensley High School and the University of Alabama where he received a Mechanical Engineering degree. He was a Navy Veteran and served in WWII in Okinawa. He was retired from American Cast Iron Pipe Company afer 41 years of service. He was a member of Shades Crest Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Ramona B. Spidle. He is survived by his daughter Sandra Spidle; son, C. B. (Bernie) Spidle, Jr. (GiGi); three grandchildren, Julius Bernard Spidle, Daniel Patrick Spidle and Natalie Marie Spidle; one sister, Dolores Thomas of Plantation FL. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 11 am until 12 noon in the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel with services to begin at 12 noon in the chapel. Interment will be in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers the family request donaations be made to the American Cancer Society.
