MOODY, CLARA CHARLENE "MIMI," of Hueytown, passed away at her home, Saturday, February 6, 2010, at the age of 79. Mrs. Moody was retired from Addressograph Multigraph. She was a wonderful homemaker. Charlene was a lifetime member of the Elks Post 1821 and American Legion Post 137 Ladies Auxillaries. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William Ray Moody, Sr.; her parents, Julius Joseph Beumer and Clara Bruce Bandura; and her brother, Chuck Beumer. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Ellis; two sons, William R. "Bill" Moody, Jr. and Michael B. Moody (Debbie); three granddaughters, Stephanie Wheat (Mike), Ashley Moody, and Kristin Moody; grandson, Michael B. Moody, Jr.; great granddaughter, Taylor Rae Wheat; brother, David Beumer (Freda); sisters-in-law, Lois Beumer, Betty Wright (Bobby), and Barbara Jones; brother-in-law, Butch Moody (Sandra); special family friend, Pamela Glass; and many special nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:30 PM, Monday, February 8, 2010, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home on Hwy 150 in Hoover. Graveside service will follow at 2:30 PM in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South, Father Patrick Cullen officiating. Charles Ellis, Jim Mosier, Alan Wright, Ottis Harmon, Les Moody, and David Hall will serve as pallbearers. The family would like to extend a loving thank you to New Beacon Hospice for their loving care of Mrs. Moody. Also thanks to Baptist Medical Center Princeton doctors and nurses for their loving and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Beacon Hospice. Mimi, you will never be gone because you will always hold special places in our hearts. We love you!
