Charlotte Shelton

Mrs. Charlotte Marie Shelton passed away Monday, February 6, 2017, at the age of 90. Mrs. Shelton was a native of Bessemer, AL but lived her last few years in Franklin, TN. She attended Parkwood Church of God. She worked at the Social Security Administration in Birmingham for 35 years. In retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling in their RV with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Shelton.

She is survived by her son, Ronald Dodson; daughters, Donna Franklin (Earnest), and Joy Scurlock (Don); grandchildren, Justin Franklin, Eric Dodson (Marci), Rachel Dodson, Blake Scurlock (Megan), and Dustin Scurlock; and great-grandchildren, William Dodson, Eddie Dodson, and Ellery Scurlock.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 10, 2017, from 1 - 2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home with funeral services following at 2 PM in the chapel. Interment will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Parkwood Church of God in Bessemer, AL or Mercy Ministries in Nashville, TN
