Charles Edward "Eddie" Smith, Jr.

Charles "Eddie" Smith Jr., 62, of Birmingham, Alabama passed away on September 7, 2019.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Jan Smith of 36 years; daughters, Lindsey (Nathan Wilbanks) and Kimberly; brother, David (Suzy) Smith; and his mother, Charlsie Smith.

Eddie was well known for being a great storyteller, a sports enthusiast, and a proud father.

Visitation will be 10am on Wednesday, September 11 at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, 2701 John Hawkins Parkway Hoover, AL 35244 followed by the service at 11am.  Everyone is invited to join us after the service for a reception at Eddie and Jan's home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the University of Alabama, Department of Gender and Race Studies, in honor of Eddie Smith.
