Charles Parson, Sr

Mr. Charles T. "Buddy" Parsons, Sr., of Hoover, AL, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at the age of 91. He was a member of the Saint Mark United Methodist Church. He was retired from US Steel after 30 years of service. He served in the US Army during Korea, The Battle of the Bulge, Normandy and was the recipient of two purple hearts.
He is preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Todd Michael Parsons.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Parsons, son, Tommy Parsons (Nancy), granddaughter, Stephanie Parsons Day (Steve), great grandchildren, Savannah Grace Day, Cooper William Day, and Elliot Kate Day.
The family will receive friends Sunday, February 15, 2015, from 1-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home with a funeral service following at 2 PM in the chapel with Reverend Don Cross officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
