Charles Merrell

Mr. Charles W. Merrell, of Hoover, went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at the age of 76. He retired as a Vice President from APAC, Inc. after 40 plus years of service. Charles proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a long time member of Shades Crest Baptist Church. Charles was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Mary Ella, of 53 years; a daughter, Franchesca Sullivan Wilkes (Rusty); a grandson, Alex; and a granddaughter, Emily. Graveside service will be on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South, with Dr. Buddy Gray officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Jimmy Hale Mission.
