Mr. Charles J. Juliano, of Hoover, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at the age of 73. Charles was known as Pawpaw to his 6 grandchildren whom he loved more than life. Charles lived a life of devotion to God and his family, always putting others first. He was loved and respected by an overwhelming number of family and friends. Charles was "larger than life" according to his best friend and brother-in-law Barry Lanzi. He grew up in Ensley, AL, a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and was proud of his Sicilian heritage. He enjoyed spending time with his family and Alabama football. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Janie and Jesse Juliano, and his brother, Sammy Juliano. Charles is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Carolyn Sicola Juliano; his two sons, Jay Juliano (Sheree) and Johnny Juliano (Cathy); his two daughters, Gina Juliano Roberson (Josh) and Francine Juliano Smith (Brent); his six grandchildren, Cicily, Luke, Jesse, Kinsey, Wesley and Charlie; his brothers, Paul, Joe, Frankie and Norman; his sisters, Bea and Marie Juliano and Carolyn Lanzi; along with a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 8, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, with Rosary at 7 PM. Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 10 AM at the church with Father Henry McDaid officiating. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
