Charles Chesser

Mr. Charles Chesser, of Bessemer, AL, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2015, at the age of 88. He served his country in the US Navy during WWII and retired from Fountain Building Supply. He was a lifelong member of Canaan Baptist Church and was a loving husband and devoted father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Doris Pickett Chesser, son, Alan Chesser (Kathy) and three grandchildren, Chad, Kyle and Kaci Chesser.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 13, 2015, from 12-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home with a funeral service following at 2 PM in the chapel. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
