Charlene Hornsby

Mrs. Charlene J. Hornsby, of Birmingham, formerly of Baton Rouge, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the age of 63. She lived for her husband and family and was a Godly example of wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Billy Hornsby; and 2 grandchildren, Will and Joy Long. She is survived by her three daughters, Tammy Hodges (Chris), Trudy Bezet (David), and Shary Long (Phil); eight grandchildren, Natalie Gravois (Ryan), Sarah, Michael, David, Jonathan and Joseph Hodges, and Wesley and Abby Long; a great grandchild, Olivia Gravois; a brother, Fred Hippchen (Brenda); and two sisters, Sharon Garidel (Gerry) and Brigette Travasos (Todd). Church of the Highlands will host a memorial service celebrating Charlene's life on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Grants Mill Campus with Pastor Greg Surratt officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to The Association of Related Churches, (ARC), a non-profit ministry which trains, resources and supports church planters.
